Useful Information

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE?

Resolve is open to any privately home educated student in the Colorado Springs region who is 12-18 years old. All Resolvers must be eligible to compete in Stoa. Read the Stoa eligibility guidelines here

HOW OFTEN DO YOU MEET? 

We meet every Thursday to learn and practice, unless we are competing at a tournament. Here is our meeting schedule: 

1pm - 3pm: Parliamentary Debate

3pm-5:30pm: Speech

5:30pm-6:00pm: Dinner Break

6:00pm-8:30pm: Team Policy and Lincoln Douglas Debate

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

All Resolvers are required to adhere to our code of conduct and club standards. Additionally, we require competition at 3 Stoa Tournaments, and competing with at least 2 speeches from 2 different disciplines. Parents are required to help from time to time at club, and to serve tournaments by judging or staffing.

Parliamentary Debate: $160 â€‹

Debate: $275 (returning families receive a $25 discount) 

Speech: $275 (returning families receive a $25 discount)

**All Resolve students must also be Stoa members. Costs for joining Stoa can be found here

**Tournament costs are additional to enrollment fees, and vary by the tournament and location.
