Resolve is a competitive speech and debate club serving privately home-educated Christian students ages 12-18 in Colorado Springs, CO
Our club is a member of the Stoa family. We have a lot of fun together every week sharpening our speaking skills, building our debate cases, and preparing for competitions locally, and around the country.

Rhetoric Effectively Showing Our Love Virtue and Excellence
A recent study by Chapman University found that Americans fear public speaking above bugs, drowning, heights, and zombies. We believe that our students have an important message to share with the world. Through strategic coaching, team camaraderie, and competitive excellence, we help our students overcome this fear, so they can speak boldly, and change the world for Christ.

Our Events
Parliamentary Debate
Parliamentary Debate is modeled after British Parliamentary procedures. This is our most rhetorical form of debate. Consequently, we encourage students to be 16 years of age and have 2+ years of debate experience.
Lincoln Douglas Debate
Lincoln Douglas debate asks students to think about how things ought to be, not necessarily how things are. Debaters clash over values, and how the implementation of those values impacts societies.
Team Policy Debate
Policy Debaters spend an entire competitive season researching and proposing changes to some form of US government policy. Policy debate deals with the need to change government policies that may be ineffective or causing harm.
